Non-believer? Think about this.

Often in life people complain. Always complaining about something. Like in Sweden, when it's cold people say "damn this country is sooo cold!" and when the summer comes, people have something to say about the hot of course. I'm not complaining about that, just telling the truth.

Also, when I discuss the existence of God with people (often non-believers), they usually use the argument "then why is it so much sorrow in this world?". Trials and tribulations are part of human life. Allah reminds us of this in the Qur'an. Let's look at one of the verses in the holy Quran.

"Be sure We [Allah] shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere"

In life, you have to expect that there will be failure and there will be sorrow and loneliness. That's kind of the thing, you're living on the earth, still you haven’t reached the paradise. So why do people expect this world to be like a paradise with zero problems?

We're living a life, and yes it is only one life, but during this life we're not supposed to "live the life" as people often say, no. This life is a test, like when you have an exam. You have to show how good you are, so that you can be placed at the right place.

Some people might wonder why some people have a wonderful life when others suffer. I don't believe that anyone live a flawless life. And in the holy Quran you can read that it's those who suffer and have a hard life that will have the best after life, during an eternity. Does that sound bad to you?

Once at school, we had a discussion during religion-class. One of the atheists asked my teacher a question that I answered him on.
"If God is fair and merciful, then why does he not let all the people in to the paradise? Why is there a hell?"

My answer was the following:
"Would you call God fair and merciful if he let everyone in t the paradise? Even the murders and the betrayers? Because how fair would that have been when some people, during their lives, had been patient and kind and got the same reward as the murders?"
He did not answer that, as anticipated.

If you're an honest and loving human, would you like to live an eternity with a human without a heart? That's why there is a paradise and a hell.

Remember that if you show God how good you are, then you can expect the best after life.
